On point. The simple framework makes sense for both entrepreneurs and investors. Overcoming/achieving network effect is where the value is, but obviously not easy. Most if not all major players seem to have found success with either a small entry point or a more manual approach (or both), à la “do things that don’t scale.” So, counter-intuitively, it seems to make the most sense to look at applications that are limited in scale yet may have the opportunity to scale later.
